ABonAir’s AB320 top-of-the-line wireless video system enables camera teams to send video content directly from a camera to a news truck or broadcast station over the air, without the complex and time-consuming tasks of cable connections.
The AB320 HD supports HD and SD in all resolutions and frame rates, an intercom for director instructions, Tally-Cue light, Data channel for Camera Control Unit (CCU), bi-directional data link, low delay mode of 90msec, and more. The system allows video transmission of up to 2500 meters, while consuming 12W of power.
AB320 professional wireless HD link utilizes OFDM radio that assures robust and reliable link under the most difficult conditions. The systems allow video transmission of up to 2500 meters in range, while consuming only 12W of power.
Utilizing H.264 Codec technology, AB320 provides longer distance at higher PSNR quality measures. Its unique algorithms achieve unmatched picture quality, stability and range. All these features are delivered in a small, lightweight and compact form factor that attaches to any professional camera.
In addition, the systems have the lowest power consumption in the industry, achieving more battery air time than any other system.
AB320 can be used in a variety of configurations that are set either automatically by the system, according to operational conditions, or manually configured according to user requirements.

Intercomintegrated intercom & IFB using the same RF channel
ABonAir’s system is the only one supporting integrated Intercom for communication between the cameraman and the director on the same RF channel as the video content. ABonAir’s system does not require an additional RF channel allocation for the Intercom or additional equipment support. This reduces cost, setup time and frequency usage.
Wide coverage distanceup to 2.5km/1.5 miles per zone
Optimization of wireless and video requirements and careful radio design combined with advance MIMO technology enable ABonAir engineers to extent the system range up to full 2.5 Km/1.5miles in clear line of site. In drone application where clear line is perfect this range can be extended to 5Km/3miles.
Unlicensed Frequency no need to use regulated frequency and pay for frequency
Until a few years ago, only large networks could use wireless equipment because it required purchasing expensive frequency licenses from the regulator. In recent years, however, governments and regulators around the world provide unlicensed frequencies for public use for any purpose – including video transmission – allowing even smaller productions to use wireless links easily and free of charge. To answer this demand, manufacturers started to develop unlicensed solutions. Unlicensed systems' volume grew and drove cost down, motivating big networks to also use them even though they own frequencies.
Bi-Directional radiowith per pixel acknowledgement
In uni-directional links, the transmitter sends video content to the receiver without receiving any feedback. In bi-directional links, both transmitter and receiver can send and receive data and control information: a packet acknowledgment mechanism identifies errors and quickly fixes them (by re-transmitting the corrupted data), before the frame is presented. This enables bi-directional solutions to assure that all the data is well received without errors hence increase picture quality.
